The Scientific Club at the University of Science and Technology (UST), in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, has concluded a series of specialized free training courses targeting high school students and university graduates.
This developmental initiative aimed to enhance participants’ cognitive and practical skills, while bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the requirements of the pharmaceutical and medical labor market.
The training program witnessed strong engagement from both students and graduates, focusing on three major specialized tracks:
Pharmaceutical Skills Development: Emphasizing the principles of proper antibiotic dispensing, raising awareness of the risks associated with their misuse, and guiding patients toward safe and appropriate use.
Industrial Pharmacy: Introducing participants to pharmaceutical production lines, as well as modern manufacturing technologies and methods for formulating pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Drug Interactions: Examining interactions between different medications, as well as between drugs and food, to ensure the delivery of safe healthcare free from medical errors.
At the conclusion of the program, the Faculty of Pharmacy praised the efforts of the Scientific Club in organizing and coordinating these high-quality training courses. The faculty reaffirmed UST’s commitment to continuing such initiatives, which contribute to community service and the qualification of skilled human resources.
