Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST), represented by its President, Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, has signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement with the Emirati University, represented by its President, Dr. Khaled Salah. The agreement aims to expand institutional partnership and enhance collaboration in higher education and scientific research, contributing to the advancement of educational quality and the exchange of academic expertise between the two sides.
The signing ceremony took place today at UST in the presence of the University Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, and the Advisor to the University President, Dr. Huda Al-Emad. Both parties emphasized the importance of building strategic partnerships that support the development of academic and research programs and keep pace with scientific and technological advancements, thereby improving higher education outcomes and addressing development needs.
The two sides affirmed that the agreement will open new avenues for cooperation through the implementation of joint programs, exchange of expertise, and the launch of academic and research initiatives that serve the community and enhance the quality of higher education.
The agreement includes collaboration in several academic and scientific fields, most notably the exchange of faculty members and researchers, the implementation of joint research projects, sharing expertise in curriculum and program development, organizing conferences, seminars, and scientific workshops, exchanging scholarly publications, and implementing training programs aimed at developing the capacities of academic and administrative staff.
This agreement comes within the framework of both universities’ efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and develop scientific partnerships that foster innovation and creativity, keep pace with rapid developments in the higher education sector, and enhance the quality of academic and research outputs in support of sustainable development goals in education and knowledge.
