Sana’a – The Yemeni Cosmetic and Surgical Dentistry Forum and Exhibition concluded in the capital, Sana’a, at the Recreation Club, with broad participation from academics, consultants, and dentists representing various Yemeni governorates, in addition to a strong presence of companies specializing in dental supplies and technologies.
The event witnessed active participation from the University of Science and Technology (UST) as the academic and scientific sponsor, under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qassim Mohammed Abbas, President of the University. This participation reflects UST’s commitment to supporting continuing medical education, encouraging scientific research, and contributing to keeping pace with the latest scientific and technological advancements in the healthcare sector.
Over the course of three days, participants discussed the latest developments in cosmetic and surgical dentistry through scientific sessions and specialized lectures delivered by a distinguished group of academics and consultants. The presentations focused on modern diagnostic and treatment techniques, while also showcasing scientific and professional experiences that enriched discussions and facilitated the exchange of expertise among participants.
The forum was accompanied by a specialized medical exhibition featuring a number of companies and agencies operating in the field of dental devices, equipment, and supplies. The exhibition provided dentists and interested professionals with the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and technologies, as well as discuss ways to enhance medical services and improve the efficiency of clinics and healthcare centers.
At the closing ceremony, attended by Dr. Olfat Al-Bahri, Dean of the College of Dentistry at UST, participants and the organizing committee commended the University’s role in supporting and ensuring the success of the forum. They also expressed appreciation for the patronage of Prof. Al-Qassim Mohammed Abbas and his commitment to promoting scientific and professional activities that contribute to the development of national medical competencies.
Participants emphasized that the forum and exhibition served as an important scientific and professional platform for exchanging expertise, strengthening communication between academic institutions and the medical and technical sectors, and building partnerships that contribute to advancing the dental profession and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to society.
