Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) concluded on Wednesday a specialized training course entitled “Modern Methods of Financial Analysis in Accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).” The course was organized by the Center for Consultancy and Development and ran for five days, totaling 20 training hours, with the participation of university staff from the financial management and auditing departments.
The course was delivered by financial consultant and expert Ahmed Dahhan, who covered a range of advanced practical topics, including the interpretation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, analysis of financial indicators and their application in strategic planning, working capital management, preparation of estimated budgets, investment appraisal, risk management, and short‑term managerial decision‑making.
At the conclusion of the course, the University Secretary‑General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, emphasized the importance of such training programs in enhancing the efficiency of financial and administrative staff. He noted that the course represents a qualitative addition that strengthens participants’ capabilities in financial analysis and decision‑making, positively contributing to improved institutional performance and the quality of financial operations within the University.
Participants also expressed their appreciation for the high level of organization and the scientific content delivered, affirming the value of the practical knowledge and skills they acquired during the course, which will contribute to the development of their professional performance in their respective fields.
The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Jamal Zaid, Director of the Centers Department; Mr. Abdulmajid Al‑Adhlani, Director of Marketing and Public Relations; Mr. Badr Al‑Ansi, Director of Human Resources; along with a number of staff members from the University’s consultancy and development centers.
