Beirut – Female Students of the Graphic Design and Multimedia Department at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, University of Science and Technology – Sana’a (UST), achieved a new Arab-level accomplishment by winning top places in the Arab StarPack Packaging Competition 2025, held in Lebanon under the patronage of the Lebanese Packaging Center (LibanPack), in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the World Packaging Organization (WPO).
This victory extends a series of consecutive successes achieved by the department’s students for the eighth year in a row, reflecting the advanced level of the academic programs, the creative excellence of the university’s students, and their ability to compete in specialized Arab and international forums.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Professor. Bilal Al-Fahidi, congratulated the winning students, expressing his pride in this honorable achievement that embodies the quality of educational outcomes. He extended his appreciation to the department’s academic staff, affirming their academic competence and creative distinction. He also praised the continuous support provided by the university to nurture talents and encourage innovation, stressing that this victory further strengthens the University of Science and Technology’s position as one of the leading institutions in the region in the fields of graphic design and creative packaging.

- First Place – Structural Packaging Category Project: Al-Kbous Coffee Student: Alaa Hassan Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murani
- First Place – Visual Packaging Category Project: Bride of Yemen Student: Alaa Amer Yahya Al-Hashdi
- Second Place – Visual Packaging Category Project: Icecream Nana Student: Hanin Samir Nouman Al-Mashreqi
