Sana’a – Yemeni physician Dr. Esraa Waheeb Al-Sharabi, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Science and Technology (UST), has been awarded a PhD scholarship through a joint academic program between St George’s, University of London and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), two of the world’s leading institutions in medical education and scientific research.
Dr. Al-Sharabi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine as part of the 19th graduating class (2018/2019) and is currently working at St George’s, University of London. She previously earned a Master’s degree in Community Medicine and Public Health (Maternal and Child Health) from King’s College London.
In this regard, Dr. Abdullah Al-Makhlafi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at UST, expressed his pride in this remarkable achievement, praising the distinguished accomplishments of the Faculty’s graduates on the international stage.
Dr. Al-Makhlafi stated: “Nothing brings greater joy than hearing of the success of our graduates. I extend my warmest congratulations to our alumna, Dr. Esraa Waheeb Al-Sharabi, on being awarded a PhD scholarship through a partnership between two of the most prestigious medical education institutions in the United Kingdom and the world.”
