Sana’a – The Institute of Science and Technology at the University hosted, on Saturday, April 4, the defense of the graduation project by female students majoring in Midwifery, in the presence of the Dean of the Institute, Mr. Abdulrahman Al‑Qadeemi, a number of department directors, and a large gathering of the students’ parents.
The graduation project was presented in the form of an innovative electronic application entitled “A Guide to Child Care from Birth to Two Years by the Mother.” The project aims to raise mothers’ awareness and provide them with essential health guidelines for caring for children during the early stages of life.
The discussion committee was composed of the Institute’s administration and an external examiner, and was attended by several faculty members of the Institute, along with a number of university administrators, including Mr. Walid Mirdam, Director of the Department of Applied Colleges and Institutes; Mr. Jamal Zaid, Director of the Centers Department; Mr. Khaled Hanzala, Director of the Computer Center; Mr. Bashir Al‑Haimi, Director of the Media Center; Dr. Krawan Al‑Awadhi, Director of the Medical Complex; and Mr. Abdulhafiz Al‑Ameri, Head of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Complex.
The session opened with a welcoming address by the Dean of the Institute, in which he expressed his pride in the standard of the submitted projects and commended the students for their efforts and creativity.
The Director of the Department of Applied Colleges and Institutes also delivered the University’s address, affirming its support for high‑quality projects that serve the community.
During the discussion, the students delivered a comprehensive presentation of the project, outlining its concept, objectives, content, and operating mechanism. Their performance was met with praise from the evaluation committee, which commended the quality of the work and its practical significance. The project also received strong appreciation from attendees for its educational and health value to the community.
This project comes within the framework of the Institute’s commitment to encouraging innovation and developing educational outcomes that contribute to community service and the promotion of health awareness.
