Sana’a –The Higher Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research honored today in Sana’a the winners of the top positions in the Fourth Qur’an Competition for students of public and private universities and community colleges for the year 1447 AH, with the participation of 125 male and female students representing 26 universities and community colleges.

The competition was held over five days in categories of memorizing the entire Qur’an, as well as 20, 10, and 5 Juz’, under the supervision of specialized judging committees for both male and female participants. The event aimed to encourage students to memorize and perfect the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and to strengthen Qur’anic culture within the university environment.

At the conclusion of the competition, the University of Science and Technology achieved a distinguished presence, with its students winning top positions in several categories—an accomplishment that reflects the University’s commitment to supporting Qur’anic activities and encouraging its students to memorize and recite the Holy Qur’an.
During the honoring ceremony, Prof. Hatem Al‑Da’is, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the winners and the participating universities, emphasizing the importance of such events in strengthening faith‑based values and promoting positive competition among university students.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Na’man Al‑Najjar, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology; Mr. Salah Al‑Aghbari, Director of Student Affairs; Mr. Abdul‑Jabbar Al‑Mu’ayyad, Deputy Director of Marketing and Public Relations; along with several ministry officials and representatives of participating universities.
