Sana’a – The Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences at the University of Science and Technology (UST) today received a ministerial committee from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, as part of the academic procedures for opening the Master’s Program in Clinical Psychology at the faculty.

During the visit, an official meeting was held bringing together members of the ministerial committee—Prof. Abdulkarim Zubaiyah and Prof. Munir Al‑Mikhlafi—with the University President, Prof. Al‑Qasim Mohammed Abbas, and the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences, Prof. Ammar Al‑Zuhari. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ibrahim Al‑Sheikh, Dr. Jihan Al‑Nazili, Head of the Department and Program Coordinator, along with several faculty members.
The discussions covered the academic, administrative, and structural aspects of the program, including the study plan, faculty qualifications, infrastructure readiness, and the program’s alignment with the academic standards approved by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
The University President and the Dean welcomed the committee members, affirming UST’s commitment to developing its academic programs and introducing specialized fields that respond to community needs and labor‑market demands. They emphasized the university’s dedication to enhancing the quality of higher education in Yemen, particularly in the human and applied sciences.
At the conclusion of the visit, the committee commended the university and faculty for their preparation efforts, organization, and readiness. They highlighted the importance of the Clinical Psychology Master’s Program and its role in serving the community and addressing the growing needs in the field of mental health.
