Sana’a – In a distinguished scientific day, students of the third cohort of the Master’s Program in Orthodontics at the College of Dentistry, University of Science and Technology, discussed today the final outcomes of the clinical cases they treated during their years of study, within the event titled “The Finished Smile: A Symposium of Clinical Excellence.”
The results presented reflected the students’ depth of understanding and strong enthusiasm for the specialty. They delivered detailed explanations of the cases treated throughout their academic years, the challenges encountered, and their recommendations and proposals for enhancing orthodontic treatment.
At the conclusion of the discussion, and in the presence of Prof. Mohammed Al‑Labni, Program Director of Orthodontics at the college, Prof. Amin Al‑Ashtal, Director of Postgraduate Studies, congratulated the students on reaching this final stage of the practical component and encouraged them to maintain the same level of dedication and energy as they work to complete the theoretical portion of their master’s thesis.
Al‑Ashtal expressed his satisfaction with the results showcased, noting that they reflect the excellence of UST’s Orthodontics Program—the first of its kind in the Republic of Yemen—and its ability to produce graduates on par with those of leading international universities. He urged the students to continue engaging in scientific research to achieve distinction in the field of orthodontics, while also commending the efforts of the program’s faculty members.
For his part, Prof. Mohammed Al‑Labni emphasized the importance of such scientific days in strengthening the students’ research and clinical competencies.
At the end of the event, students of the cohort honored Prof. Mohammed Al‑Labni, the Program Director, in recognition of his significant efforts throughout their years of study.
