This course provides students with an overview course of content, concept of advanced nutrition assessment including the nutrition care process with form of nutrition assessment tools, teaches techniques and interpretation parameters of (anthropometric assessment biochemical data, nutrition-focused physical examination, patient history, estimating nutrient requirements, pregnancy nutritional assessment, assessing pediatric patients, and nutrition screening and specialized nutrition support) supported with the latest technology applications.

The teaching strategies will include lectures, self-learning and assignment. The students will be evaluated through report, written exam. Courses in the bachelor degree as the prerequisite course.

2 MCN102 Advanced Public Health Nutrition Advanced Public Health Nutrition MCN102

This course provides students with a unique balance, focusing on the concepts of public health, planning evaluation and achieving success in public health -based nutrition programs, as well as nutrition related problems. Furthermore, students will be equipped to explores appropriate public health nutrition intervention programs from the local situation to lead successful public health nutrition programs for health promotion and disease prevention through grasping essential skills in nutrition policy development, leadership, planning, management, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, and awareness raising, through different teaching strategies.

3 MCN103 Nutrient Metabolism in Health and Disease Nutrient Metabolism in Health and Disease MCN103

This course provides students with advance knowledge about metabolic pathways and their key steps and regulation points. It also help student understand the alteration in metabolism associated with different disease as inborn errors, diabetes, cancer etc. This course also acquaints clinical nutrition students with some biochemical lab techniques, help them to perform some independent lab work and learn to cooperate with their colleagues in a laboratory environment.
