Sana’a – The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Science and Technology UST carried out a scientific field visit for fifth-level students to the Yemeni-Egyptian Company for the Trade and Manufacture of Medicines, as part of the practical and applied program included in the college’s field training plan.

During the visit, students toured the various departments and production lines of the factory, gaining insight into the stages of pharmaceutical manufacturing—from raw materials to packaging—as well as the adopted systems of quality assurance, control, and drug safety.

This type of field activity aims to bridge theoretical academic knowledge with practical application in a real industrial environment, thereby enhancing students’ competence and skills prior to graduation.

The students expressed their great benefit from the visit, extending thanks to the factory’s management for its cooperation and to the Faculty of Pharmacy for its commitment to developing their practical skills.
