Sana’a – As part of the University of Science and Technology – Sana’a’s commitment to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering organized a field visit for fourth-level students to one of the residential projects in the Capital Secretariat, under the supervision of Eng. Omar Al‑Haidari.

During the visit, students were given the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the engineering work environment. The visit focused on reviewing the stages of construction and linking structural concepts and theories with their actual on-site implementation, analyzing engineering drawings and comparing them with real execution details, and becoming familiar with site management mechanisms and methods for addressing daily engineering challenges.
This field visit comes within the framework of the University of Science and Technology (UST)’s efforts to enhance students’ practical skills and prepare qualified engineering cadres capable of meeting labor market requirements with efficiency and competence.
Students expressed strong engagement and interest in the practical content, as reflected in their questions and technical discussions, which demonstrated their enthusiasm and aspiration for excellence.
