In a new academic achievement added to the university’s record, the research project of student Mohammed Amin Al-Sharmani, a sixth-year student in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Science and Technology – Sana’a, has been accepted for presentation at the International Forum for Quality and Safety in Healthcare, scheduled to be held in Oslo, Norway, in early 2026.
The research project, titled “Building Health Awareness in a Collapsed System: A Proposal to Enhance Community Education and Patient Safety in Yemen”, addresses the deteriorating healthcare system in Yemen and proposes strategies for its reconstruction and advancement. The project was selected from over 500 submissions from around the world due to its significance, high quality, and depth of scientific analysis. It will be presented as a scientific poster during the forum’s activities in Oslo.
The acceptance of this research project is considered an international recognition of the excellence of the University of Science and Technology’s academic output and its ability to prepare qualified researchers who contribute to addressing critical national health issues and offer practical, science-based solutions.
