Sana’a – As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and align academic outcomes with global professional standards, the University of Science and Technology (UST), represented by the College of Computing and Information Technology, has renewed its academic partnership agreement with the International Council of Cybersecurity (EC-Council) for the next three years, effective October 15.
This renewal continues a partnership that began in 2022, which has enriched the practical and professional experience of students in cybersecurity, networking, and information technology. Through this collaboration, students have gained access to internationally accredited professional certifications in areas such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), network and web security, and other globally recognized credentials.
The agreement also aims to empower the college’s academic and technical staff through specialized training programs and provide updated curricula aligned with global labor market requirements in cybersecurity. This initiative seeks to strengthen students’ competitiveness and enhance their readiness for both local and international job markets.
Prof. Bilal Al-Fahidi, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, expressed his pride in extending this partnership, stating:
“Renewing the partnership with EC-Council reaffirms the university’s commitment to applying the highest global standards in education and training in cybersecurity. It aligns with our vision to prepare qualified national professionals capable of protecting digital infrastructure and supporting digital transformation in Yemen and the region.”
