Sana’a – The College of Administrative and Human Sciences at the University of Science and Technology (UST) organized a workshop on Thursday, July 30, 2026, to review and approve the mission, objectives, study plan, and learning outcomes of the Digital Media Program. The workshop brought together a distinguished group of academics, specialists, and representatives of relevant stakeholders as part of the university’s commitment to developing its academic programs in line with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, while introducing new programs that meet labor market needs and support digital transformation in the media sector.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Munther Ishaq, Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, emphasized UST’s strong commitment to developing and introducing high-quality academic programs that keep pace with rapid advancements in media and communication. He noted that such efforts contribute to preparing qualified graduates equipped with the professional and technical competencies required by today’s labor market.
During the workshop, Dr. Yousuf Salman, Coordinator of the Digital Media and Radio & Television Programs, together with Mr. Abdulbasit Al-Jabari, Coordinator of the Public Relations and Advertising Program, presented the Digital Media Program’s mission, objectives, learning outcomes, and study plan. They highlighted that the program was designed according to the latest academic standards, with a focus on developing skills in digital media production, digital platform management, content creation, and multimedia communication.
The workshop featured rich academic discussions and constructive contributions from UST faculty members, specialists from several Yemeni universities, media professionals, and representatives of relevant sectors. Participants reviewed the study plan and learning outcomes and offered recommendations aimed at enhancing the program’s quality and strengthening its academic and practical components.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the proposed revisions and recommendations were approved, and the final version of the program was endorsed in preparation for completing the accreditation and launch procedures. The program is expected to contribute to supplying the labor market with graduates who possess the knowledge and skills required in the field of digital media.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Razhi, Member of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council; Dr. Jehan Al-Nuzaili, Head of the Department of Social Sciences; faculty members from the Department of Media; academics from Yemeni universities; employers and representatives of relevant organizations; and a number of UST media students.
