Sana’a – The College of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology (UST) held a scientific workshop today to develop the College’s academic program plans. The workshop, which brought together heads of academic departments and program coordinators, was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Adnan Al‑Mutawakkil. It focused on discussing the development of academic program plans in line with the unified plan approved by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.

During the workshop, participants discussed a number of key themes related to academic program development, including reviewing current study plans, updating courses to keep pace with scientific and technological advancements, and emphasizing the improvement of learning outcomes and their alignment with labor market needs.
The discussions also addressed mechanisms for unifying shared courses among academic departments, contributing to academic integration, reducing duplication in scientific content, and enhancing the efficiency of the educational process within the College.
The workshop concluded with several important recommendations and outcomes, foremost among them ensuring that program plans are fully aligned with the ministerial framework, working to integrate common courses across departments, and establishing follow-up mechanisms to ensure the implementation of the proposed updates according to a defined timeline.
