The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology (UST), in collaboration with the University’s Scientific Club, has concluded a series of free specialized training courses targeting students and graduates of medical disciplines. This initiative is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance practical skills and professional competencies, preparing participants in line with the evolving demands of the healthcare labor market.
The program comprised four specialized courses: surgical suturing, first aid, radiographic interpretation, and laboratory epidemiology. These courses were delivered by experienced specialists and academics, combining theoretical instruction with practical applications aimed at equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills in these critical fields.
The courses witnessed strong participation and active engagement from students and graduates in medical specialties, who benefited from the scientific content and hands-on training focused on strengthening professional competencies and enhancing practice-oriented skills in healthcare.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences emphasized that organizing such programs aligns with the University’s commitment to offering high-quality training opportunities that contribute to developing students’ and graduates’ capabilities and enhancing their professional readiness. This reflects UST’s mission to prepare qualified professionals capable of making meaningful contributions to the community and the healthcare sector.
