Sana’a – The College of Pharmacy at the University of Science and Technology (UST) in Sana’a held a consultative meeting with Bin Hayyan Pharmacy Group to review and develop the agreed mechanism for field training, in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
The meeting addressed ways to enhance the practical component of the College’s students and discussed proposals aimed at improving the efficiency of training within the Group’s branches. This is intended to ensure alignment of the training program with labor market requirements and the needs of both clinical and community pharmacy practice.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Abdullah Al-Jumli, affirmed that the meeting falls within the framework of the College’s commitment to the periodic evaluation of its training partnerships and its continuous efforts to develop them. He emphasized that this approach seeks to ensure the effective preparation of graduates with the required practical and cognitive skills, contributing to the refinement of their competencies and the acquisition of professional experience in accordance with the latest standards adopted in clinical and community pharmacy.
Prof. Al-Jumli expressed his appreciation to the management and staff of Bin Hayyan Group for their cooperation and dedication to supporting male and female students, as well as their keen interest in developing the training process and enhancing outcomes in a manner consistent with the College’s vision and objectives.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Jameel Al-Dhabhani, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department; Dr. Mohammed Al-Battah, Training Coordinator at the College; Dr. Hussein Al-Owdi, Public Relations and Marketing Officer; and Dr. Yasmeen Al-Aghbari, Training Coordinator at Bin Hayyan Group. The meeting was marked by a positive collaborative atmosphere and a shared commitment to serving students and advancing the outcomes of pharmaceutical education.
