Sana’a – Coinciding with World Translation Day, female students of the third and fourth levels organized a translation exhibition showcasing their work on translation errors found in shop signs and restaurant menus, in addition to user manuals for selected products and internal information leaflets of certain medicines, all of which lack Arabic translations.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Ali Saleh Al-Ward, Head of the Department, and Dr. Iman Abdulghani Al-Sharjabi, the exhibition supervisor. Attendees listened to presentations delivered by the students, in which they discussed the identified errors, their proposed corrections, and the translation strategies adopted to accomplish the tasks. The presentations also highlighted the challenges the students encountered and the ways in which they overcame them.
This activity was held as part of the Technical Translation and Commercial Translation courses, with the aim of linking theoretical knowledge to practical application.
