Sana’a – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology (UST), in collaboration with the University’s Scientific Club, has concluded a program of free specialized training courses aimed at medical students and graduates. This initiative comes within the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance practical skills and professional competencies, and to better prepare participants in line with the evolving demands of the healthcare labor market.

The program comprised four specialized courses: surgical suturing, first aid, radiographic image interpretation, and laboratory epidemiology. The courses were delivered by experienced specialists and academics, and combined theoretical instruction with practical training to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills in these vital fields.
The courses witnessed notable engagement and participation from medical students and graduates, who benefited from both the scientific content and the hands-on training that emphasized the development of professional competencies and the strengthening of practical skills relevant to healthcare practice.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences affirmed that organizing such courses reflects the University’s commitment to providing high-quality training opportunities that contribute to the development of students’ and graduates’ capacities and enhance their professional readiness, in alignment with UST’s mission to prepare qualified cadres capable of making meaningful contributions to the community and the healthcare sector.
