Introduction to the Cybersecurity and Networks Program:
The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Networks program was launched in 2021 by the College of Computing and Information Technology in direct response to the escalating demand in local and regional job markets for qualified professionals in cybersecurity and network technology. The program’s curriculum is meticulously designed to align with the standards of ABET and the curricular guidelines of ACM/IEEE, while also integrating the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. This comprehensive approach ensures that the program meets the rapidly evolving needs of society in an era of accelerated digital transformation.
As a leading and specialized program, it offers a Bachelor of Science degree through a modern, four-year study plan comprising 139 credit hours. The curriculum provides a strong academic foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity and networking. Instruction is delivered by a highly qualified and specialized faculty with expertise across various fields of computer science, information security, and network engineering.
The program is distinguished by its holistic and multidisciplinary nature, offering students a promising career path in various industrial, technological, governmental, and non-profit sectors. The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Networks Program is preparing graduates as technically competent and ethically responsible leaders.
