Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) football team in Sana’a kicked off its participation in the third edition of the University League for public and private institutions with a decisive and well-deserved 5–1 win against Al-Hikma University. The match, part of the tournament’s opening round, took place on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
From the very first minutes, UST players showcased exceptional performance and complete control of the game, scoring five well-organized goals that reflected the team’s high level of technical and physical readiness. Their display earned widespread praise from fans and the organizing committee for both their skill and sportsmanship.
This victory marks a strong start for UST’s journey in the tournament and underscores the university’s commitment to developing students’ athletic abilities, promoting competitive activities that foster teamwork, and supporting student talent as part of its mission to build well-rounded graduates.
The match was attended by Mr. Salah Al-Aghbari, Director of Student Affairs; Mr. Ibrahim Azzan, Head of Student Activities; Coach Mohammed Ezzeddin, Team Manager; Captain Abdulhadi Al-Harazi, Sports Activities Coordinator; along with representatives from participating universities. The annual tournament is organized by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research. All attendees commended the outstanding technical level demonstrated by UST’s players.
